Men-only sports programme for over 50s at Amphitheatre

Carrickfergus Amphitheatre Wellness Centre is hosting a men only sports programme for over 50s.

It offers a range of sports including football, basketball and circuit training, all designed to help get over 50s off the sidelines and back into sports and exercise.

The programme runs every Monday from 3.30pm-5pm at Amphitheatre Wellness Centre (main hall) costing £2 per person per session.

Each session will include a health information topic as well as a one-off health check up by Cancer Northern Ireland.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council have piloted the project in partnership with Mid and East Antrim Agewell Partnership, thanks to funding support from Heart Research UK and Big Lottery Fund.

The programme is scheduled to finish on Monday December 14.
