Men treated after fire in Knockburn Gardens

Two men, aged 36 and 40 years, were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene of a fire that occurred at Knockburn Gardens off the Knockmore Road, in Lisburn on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to deal with the house fire when they arrived at the scene.

Firefighters said that the fire, that began around 1pm on July 13, involved a washing machine which was located in the kitchen area of the house.

Ambulance personnel treated the two casualties at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
