Menary's give cancer charity a boost

THE Menary's and Tempest store at Rushmere has raised a phenomenal total of over £2,000 through a month long fundraising drive for nominated charity, Action Cancer.

The store raised the funds through various different activities such as a cake sale, a sponsored walk and a table quiz.

Manager of the store, Lynne said, “The staff had a lot of fun raising money for Action Cancer as everyone got behind the activities and worked really hard to do our best. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer and it's good to be able to do something positive.”

The leading independent retailer joined forces with Action Cancer in April of this year in a bid to raise 20,000 in 12 months.

Menary’s and Tempest are raising funds for the charity’s mobile unit, the Big Bus which travels around the province offering breast screening, prevention and support services for men and women.
