Register now for this stunning, five mile guided walk and help us in the fight against deadly diseases which can strike without warning, sometimes killing in hours or leaving sufferers maimed for life.

Rathlin Island has a rare, untamed beauty. The wildlife is evident before you step ashore – the ferry crossing presents many opportunities to spot auks, gannets and gulls with even a chance of porpoises or dolphins.

You may be lucky enough to spot seals and eider ducks as they laze around the harbour plus you’ll be able to see the many puffins too!

On arrival to the island of Rathlin you will be greeted by your tour guide who will accompany you on the five mile sponsored walk whilst informing you about the beautiful surroundings, wonderful wildlife and knowledge of the island. On completion of the walk there will be some free time to have lunch and explore the island before departing back to Ballycastle.

The event will cost adults £10 (return ferry) and children £6 (return ferry). Over 60’s with a Smartpass and under 5’s will go free. We ask that you aim to raise £35 in sponsorship.

Meningitis has not gone away, MRF estimate that meningitis and septicaemia affects approx nine people in the UK and Ireland every day. They are deadly diseases that can strike anyone of any age, without warning, killing one in ten, and leaving a third of survivors with life altering after-effects ranging from deafness and brain damage to loss of limbs.
