Mental Health andSuicide PreventionGrants Scheme open

Community based Promoting Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Small Grants are now available to Ballymena applicants.

The Public Health Agency (PHA) has identified non-recurring funding to address the themes of Suicide Prevention, Self-Harm, Mental Health & Emotional Well-Being and have commissioned North Antrim Community Network (NACN) to facilitate this process.

NACN is inviting community and voluntary sector organisations to apply for non-recurring awards to address the outlined themes.

Two types of awards are available under this scheme. Award one grants of up to £1000 and Award two grants of between £1,001 and to a maximum of £5,000 (this upper limit may vary depending on area).

Applications will be assessed on the potential to improve health and wellbeing and on the ability to complete the work by the end of February 2014, including evaluation, by mid-March 2014.

Dates for applications are from August 27 to September 30.
