Mental Health First Aid course to be held

THE Niamh Louise Foundation is hosting a course entitled Mental Health First Aid at the premises of Coalisland Training Services on January 24 and 25.

Topics covered in the course include depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, self-harm and suicide, and substance abuse disorders.

The course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to help an individual with a mental health crisis and/or when developing a mental health problem.

The course will not equip participants with the ability to make a diagnosis.

The course will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm on both days.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
