Mental Maths Marathon tests success

CROSS and Passion College, Ballycastle, and St Mary's Grammar, Magherafelt, emerged as section winners in the North Eastern Education and Library Board's Mental Maths Marathon for Year 9 and 10 students.

The one-day event held at Antrim Board Centre involved four person teams from 14 post-primary schools taking part in a maths relay quiz as well as group work and a Sudoku challenge.

The other schools which were represented at the Mathematics Marathon were Belfast High, Coleraine Academical Institution, Cullybackey High, Dalriada, Glengormley High, North Coast Integrated College, Parkhall College, Slemish College, Sperrin College, St Colm's High, Draperstown, St Louis Grammar, Ballymena, and St Patrick's College, Maghera.
