‘Message in a Bottle’ for lung patients
Sandra Holden, Policing and Community Safety Partnership Officer for the Derry City and Strabane District recently presented a ‘Message in a Bottle’ to Helena Phelan, Respiratory Nurse Specialist for the Western Trust, for distribution to members of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Group.
The Message in a Bottle Scheme encourages people to record their personal and medical details, including who to contact in an emergency, and store them in the clear plastic bottle provided, which is then kept in their fridge.
