Mexican masterpiece to air at Magic Lantern

MEXICAN masterpiece Blue Eyelids is the latest offering from the Magic Lantern Film Society and airs tomorrow Thursday, May 27, at the Nerve Centre.

The film tells the story of Marinawho wins a paradise vacation for two, but when she realizes that she has no one to bring along, she decides to invite a stranger named Victor.

The pair soon discovers that true love depends more on compatibility rather than idyllic scenery. Blue eyelids is a visual masterpiece and has won special jury awards at the Sundance Film Festival, the San Sebastian Film Festival and has been nominated for awards in its native Mexico.
