The Ballymena student produced and directed a stop motion project entitled ‘A Christmas Surprise’ to scoop the Animation Category Award. Speaking at the event Michael’s Tutor, Frankie McEldowney said, “Michael showed an outstanding level of patience and perseverance in the production of this animation, as he built the set and made his characters from scratch and shot nearly 3,000 still images.  Michael’s work ethic and time management coupled with his creativity makes him a first class student.  He is an independent student totally focused on producing work to the highest possible level and his attention to detail is second to none.”

Congratulations also went to NRC Ballymoney Media Student Nicola Clyde who was shortlisted in the Factual Category for her piece entitled, ‘Mobility Challenge’.
