In an historic week for the new Council, which saw the Mayor and Deputy Mayor being elected on Tuesday March 24, a team of fitters worked across Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne to rebrand 30 refuse vehicles with the recently-launched corporate identity.

Residents and businesses throughout the Borough will now have the opportunity to see the distinctive new logo out on the roads throughout the area.

Cllr Ashe commented: “On a personal note, and for the new Council, this has been a great week –and what better way to end it off than with Cllr Gaston and myself performing what I’m sure will be the first of many joint engagements together.”

Cllr Gaston added: “Refuse collection is one of the most important customer facing services carried out by any Council, so it is fitting that our fleet in Mid & East Antrim has provided us with the opportunity to promote our new brand across our towns, villages and countryside.”
