Mid Ulster businessman cleared of sex assault charges

Mr Mc Glone had always vehemently denied the charges which were of a sexual nature and which related to allegations about alleged incidents almost 35 years ago.

It is further believed that the evidence in the case referred to statements that the two complainants had “only recently recovered their memories” of the alleged events.

Speaking after his acquittal, Mr Mc Glone who had protested his innocence throughtout, thanked all of his family members, friends, business colleagues and the community who have stood by him throughout this ordeal and the Court Case.
