Mid Ulster Council chair unveils new logo
The chair of Mid Ulster District Council has just unveiled the area’s brand new logo on Twitter.
The red and white shield-shaped emblem features a number of symbols including a red hand for county Tyrone and two oak leaves for county Derry at the bottom.
While at the top of the motif, divided by a squiggly line for the Sperrins, the badge also features the three steeples from Magherafelt’s logo, O’Neill Castle from Dungannon’s and wheat sheafs from Cookstown’s.
At the bottom of the image there are a number of waves, that are said to represent Lough Neagh.
