'˜Mid Ulster firms will be hit by end of renewable scheme'

Mid-Ulster Ulster Unionist MLA, Sandra Overend, has hit out at the DUP Enterprise Minister, Jonathan Bell over his handling of the early closure of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.

“I have been contacted by homeowners and local business owners in Mid-Ulster, as well as organisations such as the Federation of Master Builders, all expressing their dismay at the Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister’s handling of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. Commitments have been made and contracts signed, only for the Department to pull the rug from under their feet. Local employers have told me that a large number of jobs in Mid-Ulster will be affected.”
