Mid Ulster SF team urge community to stand against welfare cuts

Local Sinn Fein councillors are among a party delegation to the Mid Ulster super council who are calling on the community to “stand together” against welfare cuts. Torrent representative, Cllr Linda Dillon, who was among the group (pictured) which presented a motion to the new council on the issue, estimate that 5,200 individuals on DLA in Mid-ulster will be effected, 19,100 famillies in receipt of child benefit and 13,400 families who rely on tax credits “will see a reduction in their income and these are only some of the statistics on the drastic impact of welfare cuts”.
