If so, you will be spoilt for choice as Magherafelt, Cookstown and Ballygawley will again play host to several exciting outdoor activity events as part of the annual Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend.

Locals as well as visitors will be able to book onto events for either £10pp or 50% off their normal price and enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities including a chance to explore the new mountain bike trails at Davagh Forest, fly down a zip line, experience a white knuckle high speed hill rally, traverse from tree to tree on a high ropes course or master their Robin Hood skills on an archery session.

I had the opportunity to try out some of the thrill seeking activities on offer at Todd’s Leap, Ballygawley and I was certainly not disappointed.

From paintballing, clay pigeon shooting to soaring across the zip line, Todd’s Leap has it all and much more.

The friendly and extremely well organised staff take you through your activities and provide excellent reassurance while participating in the events.

My personal highlight at Todd’s Leap was the half mile zipline as you are harnessed up and soar across the spectacular backdrop of the Ballygawley hills. A breathtaking experience and one I would definitely repeat again.

The ‘Drop Zone’ at Todd’s Leap is one not for the faint hearted, admittedly I only managed one leap off the lower height as my nerves got the better of me, but if you love heights and the adrenaline rush then this is the activity for you.

Another highlight for me was the High Speed Hill Rally also known as the white knuckle run, you will be strapped into a specially prepared passenger Land Rover, and your chauffeur for the day will take you across the off road course at a competitive race speed time. A thrilling and exciting experience, definitely not to be missed on a trip to Todd’s Leap.

Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend is taking place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April. Visit www.discovernorthernireland.com/adventure for more.
