Mid Ulster UKIP candidate voices opposition to gay marriage

UKIP Westminster candidate in Mid Ulster Alan Day has voiced his opposition to gay marriage.

In a statement Mr Day made it clear that he was pro life and pro marriage.

“I welcome the publication of UKIP`s stance on various issues of interest to Christians.

“This is a very important document in light of the recent court case that saw an open air preacher in England convicted for preaching from the Bible.

“Not to mention the Ashers Bakery case and today`s attempt by Sinn Fein to redefine marriage in Northern Ireland.

“UKIP leader David McNarry MLA has assured me he will be voting against all attempts to redefine marriage or liberalise abortion law in Northern Ireland.”

“In addition I readily endorse the Christian Party`s declaration of values and the Coalition for Marriage campaign.”
