Milestone for local charity

Bee Heard, a Coleraine based mental health charity, celebrated its second birthday last week.

Members of the public, local politicians, community organisations and health professionals attended the event to celebrate this milestone.

The celebrations took place on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th of November at their offices at 22a New Row.

Bee Heard would like to thank everyone that has helped them in the past two years as their help has been invaluable.

Bee Heard has been operating a free and confidential drop-in peer advocacy service for the past two years on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11am and 4pm. They provide a listening ear, to support and empower people in times of need, run by those with Mental Illnesses.

Dr Ann McClintock, Chairperson of the charity said: “Bee Heard has changed my life for the better and Bee Heard has changed the lives of others in the same positive way.

“We are Peer Advocates for individuals with Mental Health problems, supporting people in their times of need.”
