Millburn Playgroup premises grant

The Playgroup has been the key user of Millburn Community Centre for the last 20 years and, during the last few years, has found that it needs more space.

The group submitted an application to the Department of Education for a small extension and has received notification that they have been successful.

In order to take up the offer of funding from the Department, the group requires a 22 year lease for the extension area.

Members of Coleraine Borough Council's Leisure and Environment Committee met last Tuesday to decide whether to allow the lease.

It was agreed unanimously to allow the lease as the extension is seen excellent and welcome addition to the Community Centre at no cost to ratepayers.

The decision will be ratified at a full Council meeting later this month.
