Anyone who was in the area of Millfield overnight between June 9 and June 10 and saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police at Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.

Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their detaills, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A police spokesman said: “Hate crime is wrong and police would appeal to all members of the public to report all incidents. Graffiti may appear to be a victimless crime but in reality it can be intimidating for residents and minority ethnic groups who wish to live in Northern Ireland peacefully and without the fear of threats and violence.”.
