Millions of orders for overseas trade firms
TENS of millions of new orders were reported by Londonderry companies participating in government-sponsored overseas trade missions over the past three years.
Asked to detail the amount of orders generated by Invest NI's overseas trade missions between 2006 and 2009 Trade Minister Arlene Foster revealed that companies based in the Foyle constituency reported a rise from 4,461,000 in 2006/7 to 13,535,000 in 2008/9.
In total firms here that participated in overseas missions reported healthy orders of 30,549,000 over the period.
