Mini car show was a great success

A MINI car show and competition which was held in Lurgan recently has been described by those participating as a 'great success'.

The event held recently was organised by Kingshill Community Development Association and held in the outstanding venue of Brownlow House Grounds.

Some excellent prizes were up for grabs with a not to miss opportunity to win a prize of 100 being available to the Best Mini in show.

Prizes were also awarded in each of the 14 classes with each entrant also receiving a specially commissioned Mini keyring.

Councillor George Savage MLA spoke highly of the well organised event and ably presented the winners with their respective prizes.

Gerald O’Neill who had travelled from Downpatrick in his 2001 Rover Cooper took overall prize of ‘Best Mini in Show’.

Each class winner also received a trophy and a range of car accessories.

The organisers thanked overall show sponsors Autoglym and Mini Sport, Lancashire. In addition, grateful thanks are extended to individual class sponsors and those who donated prizes namely, Trader D’s Butchers, M Harrison Tiling & Bathroom Refurbishments, Ruddell’s Farm Shop, D Carson Tiling, Alderdice Fuels, Nigel O’Hara Jewellers, Cllr G Savage MLA, Alderman S Gardiner MLA, DNA Carwash, Lurgan & Maguire’s Car Accessories.
