Mini petrol crisis

The Texaco garage had been expecting an early morning delivery of petrol, but due to unforeseen circumstances it was delayed until late afternoon.

Customers arriving at the station on Monday were left thinking they were facing a similar fuel crisis as had hit the UK last month.

However, they were quickly reassured that the petrol drought was but a minor one and it was business as usual come the afternoon when the delivery reached the village.

Melvin Moutray, who owns the Texaco garage in Dollingstown, thanked customers for their patience.
