Mini show and competition in Lurgan Park

A MINI car show and competition is planned for Lurgan Park on Saturday, August 20.

All car owners should endeavour to be at the showgrounds (accessed via Windsor Avenue entrance) from 11am.

Some excellent prizes are up for grabs with a not to miss opportunity to win a prize of £100 being available to the Best Car in Show. Prizes are also to be awarded in each of the 12 classes with each entrant also receiving a specially commissioned Mini keyring.

An invitation is extended to owners of all types of Mini vehicles whether new, classic, vintage or customised. Classes range from the earliest 1959 models, through to the Riley Elf, Hornet, Traveller, competition Mini, Mini Moke and the newest BMW Mini.

An additional general class has been added to this year’s event, with the class specially tailored for the broad range of classic/customised/competition or vintage cars.

Numerous trade stands are also expected and the main prizegiving ceremony will be held at 3.30pm.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the work of local charities with donations to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice nominated for the 2011 event.
