Spreading like wildfire on social media sites, the aim of the challenge is to raise money for cancer charities. Rev McBeth is to become the first clergyman in the Diocese to be drenched in iced water in a charity ‘Ice Bucket’ event planned for 4pm on Saturday, September 13, at Dungiven Parish Church. The challenge will follow the Vintage Rally, and Rev McBeth and other clergy will be ‘baptised’ in iced water to raise as much money as possible.

A bucket collection will operate on the day, and donations can be made direct to Rev McBeth at The Rectory, 14 Main Street, Dungiven, BT47 4LV.
