Minister is impressed with work at Brownlow House

MrMcCausland was delighted to see the progress Brownlow House have made and the new museum which was recently opened.

Speaking following the visit DUP MLA Stephen Moutray said: “I took the opportunity to let Nelson view Brownlow House in all its splendour. Brownlow House is a jewel in Lurgan’s crown and we as elected representatives must endeavour to have it placed right at the top of the agenda for funding and expansion.

“Minister McCausland certainly was impressed with the great strides that have been made in recent years to enhance the services provided and to showcase the historic significance on the building and has given his assurance to continue to work with the members to try and complete out on the family unit restoration programme.”

Also in attendance was David Simpson MP who is working with colleagues to help progress the extensive plans that Brownlow House have.

He said, “Brownlow House is an iconic feature in Lurgan and is part of the fabric of the town’s history. The House is at present looking superb and this is testament to the hard work and dedication of a band of people who work tirelessly to expand and grow its potential. I believe that as a team we can and will see the final phase of restoration completed.”
