Minister pleads guilty to porn charges
The former Minister of St. Saviour’s Parish Church in Connor has pleaded guilty to 22 charges of making indecent photogrpahs of children.
Spencer Gilchrist, 44, admitted the charges at Antrim Crown Court on Monday. He had initially denied the charges but as a jury was about to be sworn in for the trial, an application for re-arraignment was made and the guilty plea submitted.
He will be sentenced on March 22 following preparation of a pre-sentence report. He was released on continuing bail under the conditions that he does not use a computer or a mobile phone which has a camera function and also to abstain from alcohol.
