Minister visits Seapark site
Justice Minister David Ford has viewed progress on the construction of a new £14million forensics laboratory at Carrickfergus.
Construction of the facility at Forensic Science Northern Ireland’s Seapark site is due to be completed during September 2015 and fully operational by March 2016.
Mr Ford said: “Forensic Science Northern Ireland is already a leader in its use of DNA 17 techniques and the new laboratory will help deliver on my commitment to a faster and fairer justice system for the community in Northern Ireland.”
