Miss Northern Ireland heat in city this weekend

Heats have already taken place around Northern Ireland but this weekend it’s Londonderry’s turn to glam it up.

Sponsor Open and Direct has challenged canny Londonderry residents to ‘reach for the routefinder’ for a chance to win some luxurious prizes as the coveted contest gets underway in the North West.

During the contest’s 12 regional heats, which began on March 1 in Belfast’s Café Vaudeville, the iconic Open and Direct VW Beetle will be touring the region from Bangor to Banbridge and Londonderry to Dungannon.

For those brave enough to ‘gauge’ the mileage of the whole trip, the insurer is offering prizes including a weekend away for two in a luxury Hastings Hotel and two runner up prizes of £100 Hastings vouchers.
