Missing man may have visited Lurgan

Eimantas Gerdvilas, aged 31, has been living in the Killycomain area of Portadown but has not been seen since 11pm on Friday February 12.

However his partner Edita Matij believes he may have been spotted in Lurgan on Saturday February 13, though this has not be confirmed.

She is growing increasing concerned as he has not been seen since going missing almost two weeks ago.

Police and specialist teams have been searching for Mr Gerdvilas who has been living here for four years.

He is 6ft tall and was last seen wearing a navy blue Nike tracksuit, a grey/silver puffa jacket and blue trainers.

“We want to get him back to his loved ones safely,” police said.

Edita said:”It has been almost two weeks since we have seen him and we don’t know anything about where he is.

“Any information could be vitally important.

“If you have seen him or have any information where he might be, please contact myself on 07596199925 or call police 101 reference number 522 of 14/02/16. We want to get him home!!! Thank you for any information as we hope he is still alive!,” said Edita.

The PSNI paid tribute to the specialist teams who helped in their search at the weekend.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us with our enquiries to locate missing man Eimantas Gerdvillas over the weekend. Community Search and Rescue, Lough Neagh Search and Rescue, our colleagues in TSG and of course one of our very own police dogs and handlers came out in very inclement weather to help us with searches.

“Unfortunately 31-year-old Eimantas is still missing. He is around 6ft tall, of medium build with short, dark hair and was last seen on Friday morning in the Killycomain Gardens area of Portadown.

“We are continuing to try and locate Eimantas and would ask him or anyone who knows of his whereabouts to phone us on 101.”
