MLA seeks safer crossroads

Mr Frew said he had received numerous complaints from constituents who on seeing safety measures introduced at the Lisnamurrican and Rathkeel crossroads want to see similar steps taken at Lisnahilt.

He said: “This crossroads has alway been of great concern to local people and road users and has been always been mentioned in the same breath as Lisnamurrican cross when it came to safety.

“For as long as I can remember, the lack of visibility for cars emerging from the Lisnahilt Road to meet the Rathkeel Road has proved a massive concern.

“Transport NI have worked very hard to make this long and busy road safer and I thank them for that but we must crack on making it even safer,“ said Mr Frew.
