MLA support for rural life at Balmoral show

Independent MLA Claire Sugden said she was ‘delighted’ to attend the Balmoral Show.

The Coleraine woman said: “Speaking with constituents at their stalls, I was impressed at the talent being brought to the Show from our area, through agri-food businesses, machinery, and tourism and hospitality.

“I enjoyed catching up with Limavady’s Broighter Gold, Garvagh’s TBF Thompsons and our local Tourist industry, to name a few.

“It was great to hear their success stories, and how they are contributing within our rural communities.

“Rural life is an important aspect of this constituency, and a priority area for me moving forward. It is vital that we support our rural economy so that it continues to grow, and I have recently been working with various groups on the issues of rural transport and isolation, and access to broadband and mobile phone coverage.

“These are all factors which contribute to rural life. I encourage anyone to contact my office with concerns or issues that they might have.”
