MLA urges drivers to travel Ballygarvey Road with caution
Local MLA Paul Frew has welcomed signage erected by Transport NI on Ballygarvey Road to alert drivers of junctions and bends along the busy rural route.
He has urged road users to exercise caution when travelling on the road which runs between Ballymena and Broughshane
He said: “I have met with the PSNI and TransportNI to discuss road service issues and Ballygarvey Road was high on that list. There is no doubt we all can get familiar with it and slightly switch off when driving it. This would be a grave mistake as so many people walk that road and cars travelling along it. PSNI have requested access to speed surveys from TransportNI and they will continue to monitor the road safety environment of the road.”
