MLA’s praise for Black parade

SATURDAY’S Royal Black Institution demonstration in Larne was one of the best attended for many years, a leading member has said.

North Antrim MLA Robin Swann praised the local organising committee for “hosting a very professional demonstration, which enhanced the Black’s true Christian and family values”.

The Ulster Unionist representative, who was on parade with his preceptory at the Last Saturday march, said: “The community is to be highly commended for its magnificent support of Co Antrim Grand Black Chapter’s parade in Larne town. We also give thanks to Almighty God for the great weather which the Last Saturday demonstration in Larne enjoyed, as well as for the safety of those on the march and watching.
