‘Model’ behaviour from Causeway’s male staff members

Here’s some of the male staff of the Causeway Hospital as you’ve never seen them before!

The staff members have been enjoying a little bit of pampering all for a good cause - they’ll be appearing in a charity calendar for 2014.

Jane Wright, who works in the hospital’s Children’s Ward is hoping to raise plenty of cash for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice when she launches the calendar later this month.

The fundraising idea came about over a cuppa during a tea break.

And Jane admitted it didn’t take too much cajoling to get her male colleagues to sign up.

“A few years ago we did a charity wax for the Hospice and we managed to raise a good amount.

“It’s a charity that is close to my heart, I work in the hospital’s Children’s Ward, I know that this local charity needs all the help it can get.

“There’s staff from all departments in the calendar - the models are mostly housekeepers but we have a chefs and a employee from the hospital’s pharmacy.”

Jane wishes to say a special thank you to Snappy Snaps in Coleraine who took the photos, Johnston Printers in Kilrea who produced the calendar at a reduced price, and Shirley Dillen who has worked very hard on the project.

The calendar will be officially launched on Saturday, November 23 in the Bush Tavern in Ballymoney. It’llbe a chance to meet with some of the ‘models’ and there will be a 70’s disco on the night. Admission is just £3.
