Moira Friendship Group has launched its autumn programme.

With a wide and exciting range of activities for people of over the aged 50 and over who live in Moira and surrounding areas.

This independent cross community group operates from St John’s Parish Centre Moira and was established with the aim of promoting Friendship among older people.

The autumn programme is introducing new activities, including, men’s circuit training, vocal group, tailored computer class, as well as established activities such as arts and crafts, creative art, pilates, 50+ aerobics, bridge, bowls, badminton and various levels of walking. Information talks, day trips and social events are all on offer.Moira Friendship Group will be holding its annual open day on Tuesday September 2 between 10am and 2am in St. Johns Parish Centre, Main Street Moira.

Tom Hughes, Chairperson of Moira Friendship Group said: “Everyone is welcome.Drop in at any time to view the range of activities on offer, sign up for specific activities and visit the large number of exhibitors and information stalls.
