Moira group is delighted
THE Moira committee of Cancer Research UK has once again been delighted by the support it has received from the local community.
The Moira street collection this year raised £1,024 and once again Sainsbury’s customers were very supportive when the committee raised £965 through bag packing.
A spokesman said: “We are very pleased to have ‘Emerald Connection’ with George Jones and Trevor Kelly who will entertain us with a night of music and craic on Wednesday, October 17, in St John’s Parish Centre, Moira. Tickets for this event are available from Bleu Hairdressing, Moira.
The committee’s cross community carol service will be held in Moira Baptist Church on Sunday, December 2, at 3pm.
