Moira man receives Orange Order award

MOIRA: Robert Hayes was recently presented with the Standard Newspaper award at the annual Orange Order Community Awards.

He was presented with the award at the event by Grand Master Edward Stevenson.

Bro. Robert Hayes has been a great asset to the Orange Standard newspaper, promoting it within Magheragall District LOL over the past 35 years.

Bro. Hayes collects the newspapers from Schomberg House and distributes them to the private lodges within his District. He has been at the forefront of the promotion of the Orange Standard newspaper within Magheragall District, a task he first undertook in 1975.
