Welcoming the move local DUP MP David Simpson and the party’s group leader on Council, Carla Lockhart said: “This brings the total investment to £131.5k from Craigavon Borough Council and we are pleased that our hard work, and strong lobby has paid off.”

Mr Simpson added: “I have been working closely with my colleague Alderman Carla Lockhart and Phil Moutray in securing this money for Brownlow House. An additional £31.5k will see the tourism initiative finished off to a world class standard and one that will act as a magnet towards drawing down additional funding in future for the restoration of the family wing within the main body of the House. This is a win for the people of Lurgan.”
