Moneymore crash victim taken to hospital

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital after a crash near Moneymore last week.

According to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, the accident happened in the early hours of last Thursday morning, [March 10]

“NIFRS responded to a report of a single vehicle RTC on the Magherafelt Road near Moneymore, Cookstown,” the emergency service reported.

“Firefighters administered First Aid to a 30-year-old man at the scene.

“The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance. Crews assisted PSNI with lighting.

“Fire crews from Cookstown and Magherafelt stations attended the incident.”

Earlier in the week, the NIFRS responded to a lorry crash on the Lurganeden Road in Pomeroy, where a woman was lifted to safety. She was assessed by ambulance personnel at the scene. Fire crew from Pomeroy station attended the incident.
