Moneymore man admits smoking cannabis and had paraphernalia in spectacles case

Police on mobile patrol in the Cookstown area just after 10.30 pm on October 29, observed a car parked with two people inside.

Officers spoke to one of the passengers, Neville William John Forsythe (22) from Bridger Street, Moneymore and an odour of cannabis was noted.

He disclosed he had been smoking the drug and handed over a spectacles case which contained a grinder and smoking paraphernalia.

At East Tyrone Magistrates Court a defence solicitor said his client has paid a heavy price for his actions, which have cost him his job. Distinct Judge John Meehan imposed a fine of £150 and ordered the seized items to be destroyed.
