Monthly beach clean plans
Carrickfergus Borough Council is hoping to extend its ‘Super Sunday Beach Clean’ on a monthly basis after an encouraging turnout earlier this month.
A total of 19 volunteers gathered on Carrick’s shoreline for the launch of the initiative on September 7.
The council’s Cleansing Service provided a range of protective equipment and materials for the clean up, during which 10 sacks of rubbish were collected.
