More success for Bready Pipe Band

THE Bready Ulster Scots Pipe Band under Pipe Major Robert Campbell and Drum Sergeant Martin Campbell travelled to Bangor on Saturday to take part in the County Down Pipe Band Championships and lifted the Rea Memorial trophy for 4th place.

The Band put in another steady performance equal of the previous week and were rewarded for their efforts. The Band's Press Officer, Allen Fleming stated: "The Band are now playing at a consistent level week in week out now and we aim to improve on that, but we are delighted to be back in the prizes."

Out of a total of 16 bands in their grade Bready managed to secure the 4th place ahead of Scottish Champions Ballyboley.

The Band will be attending a Mini Twelfth demonstration in Killen on Friday 25th June and will then be travelling to Ballina, Co. Mayo to take part in the All-Ireland Championships on Saturday 3rd July.
