More than 2,000 illicit cigs seized in Mid Ulster area
A seizure of illicit cigarettes was made in the Mid Ulster area during a joint police and customs operation.
A number of licensed and retail premises were checked, according to police.
As a result of the operation a total of 2,176 suspected illicit cigarettes were seized.
Inspector Keith Jamieson said, “This type of joint operation disrupts the criminals and those who seek to profit from criminal activities.”
