MOT problem leads to court appearance

Colin Martin Fox 46), Richmount Gardens, Lurgan, was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for not having a valid certificate on June 4 last year.
The offence came to light when he was stopped while driving the van in Shankill Street, Lurgan. Mr Pat Vernon, defending, explained that the MOT had expired on April 25 and Fox left it too late to get a date. He added the defendant needed the van to get to jobs. The van failed the MOT and was scrapped.
