Mother and child rescued following Crumlin accident

A MOTHER and her two month old child were rescued by fire crews after their vehicle was involved in an accident on the Ballinderry Road outside Crumlin on Friday morning around 8am.

The vehicle left the road and stopped, nose first, in a river resting against a tree. Crews from Lisburn and Lurgan attended the incident on the Ballinderry Road and used ladders and a Tirfor to stabilise the vehicle before helping the two escape.

Ambulance crews took them both to hospital for further checks.
