Motorcyclist dies after Lisburn crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision in Lisburn.

The man aged in his 20s died after the crash on the Knockmore Road early today.

The PSNI said: “Shortly before 7.50am the motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a silver coloured Hyundai Coupe car close to the junction with the Causeway End Road.

“The male driver of the car was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.”

Inspector Paul McCarron appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Knockmore Road around the time of the collision.

Police are asking them to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station or local police in Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
