Motorists driven parking mad

A CAR park at the rear of Sheskburn House in Ballycastle is to lose two of its disabled spaces after complaints they were not needed.

There are currently six disabled spaces in the car park though that will be reduced to four following a meeting of Moyle District Council on Monday of last week.

Councillor Robert McIlroy asked if the two surplus spaces could perhaps be used as bays for families as they would allow more space for children and prams to be put into and taken out of cars.

After discussion it was agreed to instead introduce family parking spaces at the nearby Community Centre with signage directing visitors to them.
