Motorists: Think before you park

Neighbourhood Constable Sharon McGonigle said that laneways and roads leading off Union Street are being blocked by thoughtless motorists.

She said: “It has come to my attention that some motorists, in their eagerness to find a place to park, are obstructing or restricting access to a number of laneways and roads that lead off Union Street.

“This practice needs to stop, and I would urge drivers to remember the real and obvious dangers of obstructing access routes used by police, ambulance and the Fire and Rescue Service.”
