Motorists told to expect delays during £230k A26 Garvagh work

A £230,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme for the A26 Carhill Road, Garvagh, is due to commence on Monday, March 27.

The work, which is expected to be substantially completed by April 9, extends for a distance of approximately 1.4 km from Magheramore Road south of Garvagh to Lisachrin Road.

The Department for Infrastructure states it has carefully programmed the operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however, due to the lack of a suitable diversionary route motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.

The planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and the department adds it will keep the public informed of any change.
